Game is only “step” relations. Even though you can choose what to call female characters at start. Plenty of dialogue stating it’s step through game but they encourage you to call them mom or sister lol. No point in having that. Should either just leave it as non related characters or have a patch for actual family members. It’s got the worst of both worlds in this haha.
Who even talk like that? It’s so annoying that I was hoping there is a patch for it. Sadly not.
