Cheat, Gallery & Walkthrough Mod Installation:
PC (Windows/Linux): Unzip the mod file and put the folder named "game" from the mod in your "TheAuthor-Ch.7-pc" folder.
MAC: Unzip the mod -> Right-click your "TheAuthor" app -> Click "Show Package Contents" -> Open the "Contents" then "Resources" folders -> Hold the Option key and drag the folder named "game" from the mod to the "autorun" folder -> Click merge.

-Features (Reworked Mod):
- All features from the old mod.
- Added more improvements.

Audio/Walkthrough/Cheating Mod Installation:
- extract the archive in a temporary folder
- replace the *.rpy-files in your game folder (save the original files first so you can restore it!)
- copy or move the extracted folders "music", "Audio" and "gui" also into your "game" folder

General advice!
My mod changes the original game files! Old saves will most likely not work anymore!
Also, saves with my mod installed will maybe not work WITHOUT my mod afterwards, too.
As this Mod overwrites game files, other Mods/addons may also not work after installing it.
Sorry about that.

I read about this Visual Novel when starting “The Unbroken”. I did not read “The Author” first but I was very intrigued to do so because I really think the writing in both these games is outstanding. There are a handful of carefully crafted characters with different traits, both personally and physically, and it is really fun getting to know each one of them. Of course, this applies to the main character you are playing as well. Both novels are loosely intertwined but not that it warrants to read one before the other (at least I think so).
The quality of the writing and character development aside, I really appreciate the girls. They are beautiful and distinguishable from each other (appearance-wise) and a breeze of fresh air when compared to all the generic faces.
Also, the atmosphere is nice and gripping. The teaching in LA doesn’t sound that inviting but it is really more about the struggle of the main character. Nonetheless, the details in the description of the big city are adding a lot to the immersion. The story in “The Unbroken” is a whole other cosmos with war veterans, inner demons, cage fighting and wrestling and a center for helping soldiers adjusting to society, being home, etc.
Hats off to the writers and creators of these visual novels! In my mind they are among the best out there!
