It’s something. I’ve been playing for a few hours but have yet to find an actual sex scene with dongs or boobs. When you inevitably lose due to combat being jank you get various scenes of torture and other stuff if you’re into that; same with surrendering to get brutalized. You can also choose to attack townsfolk to get similar results as above.
The story is that there’s a BBG whom is whooping ass badly, men got wiped out because raisins, and women now have to fight because the BBG doesn’t like humans “For some reason” that you’ll find out later on and runs an extinction-level campaign against them. All of the monsters are banded together, from goblins and demons to wolves and bugs.
Combat is WASD and 1-2-3 for abilities; an action-RPG where you right-click to parry attacks and dodge. So if you’re a god-amongst-mortals you can dodge everything sans magic and stack stats to dodge constantly. Item drops ain’t terrible, gold is worthless mostly, and you can do a few things to make decent builds.
Here’s where it becomes real fun; to edit your char stats you have to beat the prologue and get to camp, save your game, and then quit to main menu. Inside of the Eternal Dread 3 folder there is a Game Data folder; sort it by Date Modified and look inside the most recent XML file with Notepad. Use Find to seek your level, your stats and your gold to set it to whatever level, and if you’re really bored you can even change what items are in your inventory.
TL:DR? I still have no idea what the hell I’m doing in this. And I think I am starting to enjoy it.
