In terms of Undead; a Lich is arguably on par with a Vampire Lord (which is usually an “ancient” or Pureblooded” vampire) the difference being really rather clear in high fantasy:

One is PURELY MAGICAL.

A lich is NOT a revanent. A Revanent (unless you want to pull the you’re secretly a wizard Harry bullshit) is what this guy SHOULD be and factually is. You DID NOT make him a scholar – you did not state what subject he taught in his previous job before the military (it could’ve been PE to Art or Music for fuck sakes) and you did not make him a Professor. Which would have made him a HIGHLY SKILLED – Usually tenured – teacher, who was reasonably inclined to the scholarly pursuit to become a Lich in that case.

You made a game about VAMPIRES. Stick to that – not cool that you diss werewolves by the way asshat. What if we happened to WANT a girl that prefers it Doggie style in the game? Making the MC a Hunter was a good contrast in paths > Borking the intended path to BEING an “ancient” vampire which YOU laid out, so you HAD to make him something that could compete with X retardedly OP enemy (which was ALSO your first problem – and should have been revealed in a conspiracy that UNFOLDS; far LATER into the game… AFTER MC got his wife + kid firmly back – UNTURNED!!! – and took revenge on the asshats that took them. Who shouldn’t have been the main antagonist ever planned) BECAUSE you fucked up your own projected story path. >.<

I’ve already laid out exactly how you apologize for this bullshit, and “fix” it as best you can. You SHOULD have asked the audience for a choice of Do you want to be a Vampire, or switch to Dumbledork with a raging case of I’m Not Dead Yet!
