There is no point in asking the above questions in a preamble, if the NTR in question is unavoidable. Because the answer is already a given.

If my choices really would affect the girlfriend’s desire to stay loyal, and be taken to full account to get a happy ending – or even a harem one, because she feels guilty that she thought about straying due to her own ambitions so she’s willing to give BF who keeps options open but DOES NOT follow through, a pass that lets him explore other relationships with “friends” whom he otherwise should be written to have helped benefit and then very diplomatically brushed gently off – then I would be willing to follow through on what’s as far as I’ve played, going to be a harsh journey.

Frankly, if she is inclined to consider cheating either way; because he MIGHT which at the point I left off she had no direct evidence of (that wasn’t ham-handedly written in just to peeve her off – if I recall right) or because it would further her own aims, then WHY punish the player for seeking another avenue. Who might actually BE loyal. Or loving, and god forbid both. It’s one thing to say the NTR is unavoidable; but that usually just means as a Dev you chose to write your MC into a corner. I get that there’s a genre for it and that’s fine and fair enough if it’s your bag baby, but I take some exception to being presented a choice, when in mechanics there’s really no choice at all.
