The game is set in a slightly fictionalized version of 1940s America which will tell a story of a young refugee girl and her family fleeing the great war who gets entangled in a web of intrigue while trying to make ends meet in a completly foreign country. Love and heartbreak are guranteed, will your ending be sweet, bitter or bittersweet is up to you!

I’m not generally much for visual novels, but the setting intrigued me and although there isn’t much to it yet, this is definitely something that I am interested in returning to. I’m curious to see how “adult” it gets and how that will be balanced with the rather heavy background story of an innocent refugee girl and her family. I also appreciate the nuance shown by some of the characters, particularly the mother. She is, for the most part so far, unpleasant, but in so being she does a good job in showing the dislocations that come with being refugees. They aren’t just spatial, but material and psychological. In other words, it takes more than physical safety to makes a happy. I look forward to updates.
