IF you want to be an absolute ASSHAT to Rose… The VERY worst this dipshit landlord could pull is a lazy means to retcon in that he DID protect his own ass from a legal standpoint. They WOULD put notice of entry into the apartment under the doorframe for her to find. He wouldn’t get very far with the defense if she wasn’t there to see said notice; but it’s a potential mitigation from a legal standpoint. Because he would then have done his legally required due dilligence, and the onus would be on her for not being there to have known. It does not negate her legitimate safety concerns which would absolutely be taken into account as her reasoning for breaking the fucking lease, which her lawyer would absolutely bring up first and foremost as her objective defense. But it’s about the most petty shit you could write in from this point. If you actually want to seem like you know what you’re talking about. Legally. [The law does NOT treat men and women the same way; it never has, it never will]

IF the dumbassed landlord wants to Sue Rose for breaking her lease the LAST thing he would do (from a LEGAL standpoint) is go into her apartment without giving LEGALLY REQUIRED proper notice he was doing so. Even to serve an eviction – they’ll put the letter ON your door rather than going INTO the apartment. Because he’s NOT LEGALLY ALLOWED to do so without GOOD reason; and not without properly given NOTICE.
