Lust Theory

This game is very disappointing. Playing this game is like assuming the role of the stupidest man who ever got to be in the movie Groundhog day. He makes the most arbitrarily small improvements in each in every day, to the point that I am surprised he is even capable of interacting with another human being without referring to a flowchart. There is so much unnecessary grind simply because every romance plot takes 4 or 5 days to clear very small, very easily forseen obstacles, or to very slowly learn what a person likes. To be clear, by the second season, it will have taken the MC nearly a week to learn that Sophie likes dominant men, despite her telling him that fact explicitly every time he interacts with her. And what does he do? Dejectedly says “oh no I guess I am not dominant” and GOES HOME TO GOOGLE HOW TO BE DOMINANT.

In a setting where the premise is literally, “There are no consequences because the day resets”, a woman locks herself into a sex swing and makes fun of the MC for not being dominant enough, and he just…sadly hangs his head in shame (that is literally how the game describes his reaction), and goes home to look up how to be dominant on the internet. Even though during the rest of the game, you have options at every opportunity to be direct, lewd, brutish, crude, inconsiderate, whatever flavor of selfish sexual deviant you prefer…in this one case where a woman is EXPLICITLY telling the MC to be more dominant, he does nothing.

Not to mention the fact that there are multiple occassions where the MC has raped other characters while they were asleep or unconscious, so it isn’t like morality is one of his concerns. The author of this game just decided that the MC, who has been stuck in a time-looped hellscape of sexual debauchery without consequence for months on end, all of a sudden, became too concerned with what one woman who locked herself in a sex swing thought of his approach to dominance.

In a setting ripped straight from Groundhog day, where the MC becomes supremely confident due to knowing everything that could possibly happen to any person during that day, the MC forgets that he has magical time loop powers for a moment and reverts to a shy baby boy…in the face of a woman who LOCKED HERSELF in a sex swing and made fun of him for not being dominant enough.

The rest of the game is grindy, unoriginal, uninspired, and honestly kind of boring, but I played to see if it got any better in season 2. I have come back from my own personal time loop hellscape to tell you that not only did it NOT get better, but it got much worse.

Character Models: 6/10 – Detailed, but unoriginal. Possibly the best part of the game.
Animations: 6/10 – The sex scenes are nice, but unfortunately they are rarer than Netherite and locked behind wave after wave of arbitrary grinding and annoying repetition.
Story: 2/10 – The premise is literally stolen from a critically acclaimed classic film and somehow nothing interesting is done with it. There was almost something when the MC unsticks from one day to get stuck in the very next day, but it quickly went back to being absolutely nothing. It gets two points because I like Groundhog Day.
Character Writing, MC: 0/10 – This guy is an absolute fucking dolt. There must have been a brick inside that soccer ball that hit him on the head that first day, because other than severe brain damage, I cannot understand how this guy can possibly be so fucking stupid. I really believe that if he had never gotten stuck in the time loop, he would have accidentaly walked in front of a bus and fucking died before the week was out. He is really that fucking stupid.
Character Writing, Everyone Else: 3/10 – This part confuses me. Clearly the author of this game understands some of these relationships, at least conceptually, enough to make some of them feel realistic to some degree. The MC actually becomes a normal human being when interacting with the teacher or the older sister, for instance, and their characters are actually consistent enough that they could pass for a human being in some capacity. But then you have all the other characters, who are not consistent, like Ellie who goes from playing sexual chicken with you the first time you meet in a public bathroom to getting mad that you touched her boob. What? She wants to get naked and fuck in the hallway but she’s mad that you touched her boob? What the fuck? Did she also get hit in the head with a brick? The mom will let you fuck her and actually like it, and all you have to do is tell her that you’re horny for her. Huh? What the fuck? Sophie gets a shitty phone call from her boss as you enter her store, and then she…gets so mad at you for asking how she feels, that she kicks you out? Even though there are cameras in the store and the boss is constantly questioning her interactions with customers?? HUH??? It’s like, I actually can’t tell if the author has ever talked to a woman. Your sister and her friend will give you a double blowjob if you’re mean to both of them, but will get mad at you if you’re nice to either of them. HUH??? What the fuck is going on here? Who are you??? Where did you learn about women???????
Playability: 0/10 – This is not a game. I repeat, this is not a game. This is a to do list. There are not choices, only sequences. Each character pathway has ONE correct set of actions that can be taken to progress their story, and it is broken up into infuriatingly small little bits that require you to reset the day to progress. The stories hardly interact with each other, and when they do it is not because that’s where the stories were heading organically – they intersect if and when the author thinks of a scene that requires multiple characters. This game is so fucking grindy and boring that I just started skipping all unseen text, because it doesn’t matter. Each step of progress is so nonsensical and stupid that even the game gives up on explaining it sometimes, like the part where the MC finds out that the older sister needs more liquor to give him a handjob, and the next hint literally says “I GOT MORE BOOZE – DON’t ASK HOW”. If you’re going to handwave the solution to an obstacle, then why the FUCK did you put that obstacle there? This happens constantly. MC realizes some small arbitrary thing stopped him from getting one step closer to pussy, so he starts the day over and you get to click through the new text lines of him doing the thing, without you having to think at all. The gameplay loop can be summarized as follows: skip through meaningless text until MC realizes he fucks up, check hints, click to where the hints said to go, rinse and repeat 25 times until you want to kill yourself or you find a sex scene.

There is no replayability, because there are no choices. You don’t get to choose to be nice or be mean, you don’t get to choose who to fuck, you don’t get to choose how you want to fuck them. Even the parts that look like choices aren’t choices, because you have to repeat those scenarios until you have experienced every option anyways. I don’t really even understand why the author put player inputs. This experience would be more enjoyable if I could just skip through to the parts I cared about without having to click.

For all future aspiring sex game creators: Games have player input. If your game experience would be the same even if nobody had to click anything, it isn’t a game. You’re making a straight up linear story, which is fine, but don’t waste everyone’s fucking time making us click through nonsensical bullshit you clearly just improvised to hit your patreon deadlines.

TL;DR:
This game really makes you FEEL like you are trapped in a Dr. Strange – esque time loop hellscape.

If I was stuck in a time loop that could only be escaped by playing the rest of this game, I would rather spend the rest of eternity jumping foot first into a woodchipper every day of my unending life than play the rest of this game ever again.
