Legitimate points for consideration – having played at least the first week so far.
> USE these suggestions for game improvement.
1) The MC in the anime was stated to be admired by every girl and sundry BECAUSE even though he constantly got his ass handed to him (by being insanely UNDERPOWERED – with a backwards argument that he was in fact, OVER powered = IF he survived long enough to get the seven billion “Boost!” call outs that SAY he’s powerful enough to merc X given enemy…Which IS a PROBLEM with the series throughout) is that he NEVER. STOPS. WORKING. HIMSELF. TO THE BONE!
IE: EVERY. SINGLE. ACTION > EVERY CHOICE MADE = SHOULD. Give. The PLAYER. A STAT BOOST OR A FRIENDSHIP/ROMANCE POINT!!! [Fuck taking a shower daily; ASSUME the MC is not functionally retarded and WOULD do that – so the buff as a DEMON should just be active. Also he was said to get popular for better dressing and WHO he hung around with… it WASN’T about MC until he manages to SAVE. X GIRL’S. OVERLY ABRASIVE ASS!!!
[Natsuki needs a better fucking intro dude – there is LITERALLY no good fucking reason to want anything to do with her at all > NO MATTER HOW ATTRACTIVELY OR NOT YOU RENDER HER!!! > IF you make her the sort of asshole that’s going to be a bitch to the VICTIM in that situation, because her “friend” is a fucking KLUTZ] FIX. You NEED to put on the screen EACH instance of when a point is earned and that notice SHOULD NOT be removed until the player CLICKS to the next scene in dialogue = SO THAT WE CAN FUCKING SEE WHEN WE’VE ACTUALLY GAINED A STAT!!!
EG: The Mom on Saturday you peep at her (which you can’t even do without sneak skill the one OTHER time it’s an option) and she WILL catch you [What was the fucking point of the sneak skill then???] and be rightly pissed; BUT the PLAYER gets NO NOTICE about whether that affects her stats. Positively with Lust, or negatively overall… and in the same damned day you have a shower and go talk to her in the living room in the afternoon, and it SAYS you spend time with her and increased affection… WHERE?!? Because we can’t see what the hell her affection is even at. Positively OR negatively.
The stats thus far are:
> Strength = HOW. To. ENHANCE IT? You get ONE option with the Mom; ONE.
= Might be nice to beat the ever living shit out of Alice and TEACH HER A LESSON… but you can’t. (Because then you might actually have to evoke MALE DOMINANCE!!! >.< and fuck you for the “Women In Control” bit bud; that’s NOT why we play HAREM games. A Harem is NOT about FEMALES being “in control” so fuck right off with that mindset. Entirely) *** It might also be nice to NOT get my ass handed to me in cutscenes or otherwise because you haven’t built in a way to even do pushups in MC’s Bedroom at fucking DAWN…

(Change it to Demonic Presence and make it have an affect to charm/convince or DOMINATE a confrontational person = Then you have a useful stat that is actually shown in the anime to a point)
> Intellect, is REALLY not MC’s strong point in the Anime… and I DO NOT know why you’re bothering to do it here (other than a pointless, retarded fucking mini game that is going to eventually make me look shit up online – and I’m not the only one that fucking hates devs that do that…) It has no effect as far as I can tell, because the dialogue is likely going to paint him just as moronic as the actual anime does. So why bother, OTHER than to ham-fist in a multiple choice question [If we need it to fuck/dominate/charm the teacher – the principal, maybe a female Dean if you intend to go farther than the actual anime gets… it would be something. Still blatant, annoying and all but useless, but it would then have some purpose for those who WANT to pursue those characters] * You COULD actually use this stat if you intende at all to implement pregnancy content; to allow the Player to effectively argue with some of the more stubborn (less submissive) females as to why they should allow him to breed with them. [I’d personally skip that point and implement mechanics where getting to that point in the bond empowers the females AND the MC. As incentive to the fanbase, but also incentive to the girls for allowing it.
> Sneaking: Covered above – in the one instance thus far where it should’ve applied, it DOESN’T. There IS an instance that WOULD require sneaking points >> BUT it happens before you even have the option to GAIN any… >.< There is NO POINT to investing time into creating the structure of a stat build; and then NOT implementing a way that the player can always GROW said stats. How. Is this, a hard concept for you to grasp? Are you as dense as MC from the anime Dev? I am genuinely curious. I can tell you there’s not enough structurally different (since thus far you’ve basically matched key points in the series first season’s first few episodes all but beat for beat) that the actual author couldn’t take you to court for plagerism. Literal theft of IP. You actually have to hit a certain percentage of difference in SEVERAL metrics, to make your work different enough to NOT be called as much. Adding in a host of girls that weren’t in the anime (when there were several that were introduced and still could’ve been more frankly if you count the manga, and many were side-barred) doesn’t necessarily fix this issue.
>> There is nothing as yet of Demonic Power = he DOES in the course of the 3 Season Harem Anime (which is almost mis-genre’d by the way – as he spends way too much time denying most of the girls, or too scared of main girl to actually get fully invested in the harem he DOES want…) end up being a Demon Lord (or whatever the hell it was they were called – the chess thing was convoluted as balls really, especially because MC STAYS as Main Girl’s Pawn EVEN after he gets his own fucking pieces, and rules X thing in demon heirarchy. Which made no fucking sense at all, and was mostly done for FemDom BULLSHIT) Given the most generous I could call this work is an homage, and that is being OVERLY so, there’s no point in NOT allowing MC to move up ranks. Not just in stats.
* Question: Are you going to attempt to implement that? Because you had Irina mention that he can have his own servants; and they ARE bound to SUBMIT. >.< (Problematic – and I would rework the wording to include that he can ALLOW them to refuse; but many male demons who have that rank don’t. There IS an issue of consent…)
Implementing stats to change the outcomes IN MC’s favor at key points, would be an interesting take however. It would be different enough BECAUSE it’s not the way the anime goes. At all. Like with Megumi – why can we reject her; but somehow you push us to follow her dumb ass to said place > KNOWING what the fuck is going to happen. Which is why a player who has seen the anime would fucking REJECT her in the first place. There’s NO POINT to that option > It does NOTHING! If however you laid off the time management bullshit and implemented varied ways that the player can FROM THE START build their stats – it stays true to who the MC is in the core of the anime; for immersion, but also could allow about 4 DIFFERENT WAYS for MC to reject Megumi and actually come out better off in the fight. It would still lead to his “death” of course… but god damn it he could actually FIGHT with enough strength. He could try to intimidate with Presence (he has a sacred gear that she is AFRAID OF… he doesn’t have to KNOW he has it, to use the fact she is afraid of it – so there’s your sex appeal + intellect) And he could fucking well try to sneak away and act like he has some survival instinct. All of that would be markedly different to the anime, and would protect you from any legal claims. It would also grant the player more freedom to build the MC they want; and get the girls in the vein that they choose. So wins all around. But, you do you.
As you can tell, I had many, MANY issues with the anime – but the story was always something that COULD have been solid. So let’s see if you can flesh out something that takes the MC a LOT more seriously; hits the beats in story that were investible, and make more out of the thing than three seasons of a half-cocked (often blocked) and overly hammy anime got. I’d be impressed if you could make me not regret that I did in fact, watch all three damned seasons… I did not always resist the urge to facepalm myself into oblivion.
