Just have a point that tells the player why each stat is advantageous when it’s time to level up so they can pick where to invest the stats and you’re done.
His stats are stuck at sweet fuck and al. He’s got ONE level ONE spell that does JACK SHIT damage to anything. It doesn’t matter if it’s an AOE spell if it can’t kill a bloody GNAT! Aveline is level 5. She’s got decent stats; Raine is level 3 – She’s got better stats than MC. Locking his ass to JUST level 1 IS FUCKING RETARDED. You gave him the most basic bitch sword to work with that barely does 15 points of damage to ANYTHING. >.< Hero of the game all the girls are meant to drool over and drop panties for; his noob sword can’t even cut butter.
