I enjoyed this story until it all went wrong in the end…
Actually, it went so wrong that it reminded me when I tried to play some roles game with ChatGPT and it went wrong every time for two reasons that I experienced in the ending of this story here so I suspect that the creator of this story used ChatGPT to write the end, it is the only logical explanation as to why the end suddenly went so wrong but let me explain.
First, ChatGPT is unable to keep consistent when it tells a story because it is unable to remember what it previously wrote and therefore it invents a new storyline entirely which is inconsistent with the story so far, which is exactly what happens in the end of this story here.
The antagonist of this story is a girl named Kurona who uses her magical abilities to mind-control the people of entire villages to abandon their villages and follow her to Kamigoroshi Mountain, the homeland of her clan, the Kurotsume Clan, a powerful warlike tribe skilled in martial arts and magic who conquered many territories until they mysteriously vanished a century ago, a mystery left unsolved in the story because the author of this story doesn’t actually care about the story, this story is merely an excuse for sexual content and that’s it, expect nothing more from it.
Kurona’s motivations for mind-controlling and abducting people from entire villages to her homeland are never explained however the most logical explanation since we know that her clan mysteriously vanished is that she was left alone and lonely, and has been attempting to refill her empty homeland.
Since people from entire villages started to vanish without any explanation, people started to imagine a great evil being that they named “The Dark One” who supposedly devour the souls of people from entire villages at once, because they didn’t know the responsible was a simple girl with powerful magical abilities, the last remnant of the long gone dominant Kurotsume Clan, who felt lonely in her empty homeland and started to abduct people to refill her homeland.
However, we personally meet Kurona and eventually figure out she is the so-called “Dark One”.
A part of the story which frustrated me is that Sayuri is obsessed with “The Dark One” and when we meet Kurona and figure out she is the so-called “Dark One”, for some reasons, we don’t run to Sayuri to let her know, it’s as if we forgot Sayuri exists, we don’t think of her anymore, we don’t involve her anymore, she is just left out of the story.
Until Kurona abducts Akiko and we are left alone, THEN, and only THEN, we SUDDENLY remember that Sayuri exists because we have been left with no other girl to put it in then of course we think of Sayuri under such desperate circumstances. π
When the protagonist FINALLY remembers that Sayuri exists, he acts as if Sayuri hates him, for no reason, because the last time we were with her, she was merely depressed because we failed to summon The Dark One (which we actually succeeded because we attracted Kurona’s attention).
But even when we FINALLY go to Sayuri to tell her about Kurona, for some reasons, we don’t actually talk about Kurona, we talk about “The Dark One” even though we KNOW who is the so-called “Dark One”, we don’t tell Sayuri and we act as if we forgot “Kurona” and refer to her as “The Dark One” for no reason. π€¨
And the fact that we treat Kurona as an evil being called “The Dark One” instead of a simple lonely girl with powerful magical abilities will subsequently result in very bad and unfair treatment of Kurona which really disgusted me!
Especially since we had sex with her when she was “Kurona”, before we treat her as the so-called “Dark One” for no reason.
Indeed, with Sayuri’s help, we reach Kamigoroshi Mountain to confront Kurona and release the people she abducted, including Akiko.
Kurona reveals that she has been waiting for a powerful man for a long time and proposes to us to become her servant in exchange of making us a god by her side and we have to choose between “I will join you” or “I will kill you”.
Yes, you read right, the protagonist doesn’t want to merely stop her, he wants to MURDER her without any mercy like a psychopath!
I first chose “I will join you” hoping that I would eventually get a chance to convince her that she doesn’t need to mind-control and abduct people to not be lonely, she only needs someone who genuinely loves her and I am willing to be this person if she gives me my chance.
And I REALLY wanted to ask her what happened to her clan, why did they mysteriously suddenly vanish and left her alone?
This would have given me a chance to solve the mystery and let her know that I understand her loneliness and would like nothing more than to learn to know her and love her so she doesn’t feel lonely anymore.
But that was expecting too much from the author because if we choose “I will join you” then she mind-controls us and turns us into her mindless puppet (even though she previously stated that she can mind-control only people who are weak in magic, she can’t mind-control mages like us and Sayuri, which makes the Kurona’s ending plainly impossible) which she could have done without asking for our opinion, which makes the choice pointless.
Then I chose “I will kill you” hoping that I wouldn’t have to actually kill her, that I could merely defeat her and eventually choose to NOT kill her and give her a second chance like everyone deserves because everyone makes mistakes.
But once more, that was expecting too much from the author because once we choose “I will kill you”, there is no more choice, only unjustified hatred and violence towards a lonely girl who never hurt us and at this point, WE become the bad guy who lashes out for no reason and murders a lonely girl without any mercy nor any remorse like a real psychopath, which really creeped me out! π¨
I will make things absolutely clear, only a psychopath who shouldn’t be left alone would write such an ending, no sane people would conclude a story with such unjustified hatred and violence.
Let’s talk about the combat, knowing that it is a combat between two powerful mages, you expect them to throw powerful spells at each other, right?
Well, you would be right if only the author made sense, which is expecting too much from this author here, these two powerful mages barely use any magic at all, they fight each other with martial arts, sigh… (facepalm)
To dig the “hero” (psychopath)’s grave even deeper, he still wants to put it in her while he is trying to murder her… (facepalm again)
And to prove that Kurona is far to be the evil being that everyone thinks she is, she still tries to spare the psychopath who attempted to murder her for no reason instead of finishing him off when she beats him, which makes me even more unwilling to kill her and even more disgusted at the way the protagonist keeps treating her afterwards.
Even when Sayuri joins the combat and uses magic (Thank GOG, she actually uses magic instead of martial arts! π ), you expect Kurona to strike back with magic like “You call that magic? I’m going to show you real magic, β₯β₯β₯β₯β₯!”, but nooooo, she strikes back with martial arts, I’m starting to doubt she remembers that she is a mage at this point…
And then, something completely illogical happens! (Yes, I mean even more than everything I already told you. π )
Kurona reveals that she is the elderly woman who sent us into this world to stop (not kill) a great evil who threatens her world, which really doesn’t make sense at all.
When the elderly woman came to our world to bring us to hers, she gave us Akiko’s family sigil so if she was Kurona then why Kurona would have in her possession Akiko’s family sigil, that doesn’t make sense.
Actually, let’s talk about this sigil because the elderly woman gave it to us saying that it will aid us when the time is right and to not even think about selling it.
And then? Nothing! The story completely forgets all about the sigil, its purpose is never revealed, it just becomes a useless item in our inventory!
Now let’s talk back about this absurd revelation of “Kurona was the elderly woman all along”. (sigh)
If that was true, then why would Kurona send us to Akiko’s dojo instead of her own castle in Kamigoroshi Mountain where she could train us herself?
Moreover, Kurona eventually comes to Akiko’s dojo to meet us because we attract her attention when we attempt to summon “The Dark One”, which makes the “revelation” that she is the one who brang us into this world utterly ridiculous because she was not even aware of our existence before we summoned her.
The psychopath protagonist (By this point, I stop referring to him as “us” because I really want nothing to do with him anymore, I no more identify myself to him. π) eventually combines his magic with Sayuri’s to throw a powerful fireball at Kurona and… completely burn her body and watch her writhing on the floor while crying and screaming in pain! π¨
AND HE HAS THE NERVE TO BE PROUD OF HIMSELF AND SATISFIED BECAUSE HE BELIEVES HE IS A HERO WHO DEFEATED EVIL (JUST A LONELY GIRL WHO DIDN’T ACTUALLY HARM ANYONE), SERIOUSLY, THE AUTHOR IS A REAL PSYCHOPATH WHO NEEDS TO BE PSYCHIATRICALLY TAKEN CARE OF ASAP!!! π‘
Deep breath, wait, let me calm down before I continue because there is more, sigh…
Now, something comically absurd happens, Kurona stands up, because she is not dead, even though her skin is totally charred, her hair is intact, because everyone knows that hair don’t burn, right? π
You might argue that her hair didn’t burn because of her magic, but then you would have to explain why her skin did burn if her magic protects her?
Even though she was just mercilessly burned, Kurona keeps her cool (such a bad pun π ) and calmly talks to the psychopath that she loved and who just mercilessly burned her, anyone else would be screaming with rage, but not Kurona, you can burn her to a crisp and she still keeps her cool, what a woman!
This was the comical part of this event, now comes the psychopath’s reaction, sigh… π
The psychopath is mad at her because she DARES to be still alive.
Yes, you read right, even though HE mercilessly burned a lonely girl who never actually harmed anyone, HE has the nerve to be mad at HER the victim, at this point I gave up trying to think logically anymore because I just couldn’t take anymore of the absurdity of this grotesque story.
So he finishes her off with martial arts obviously, and since Kurona brang him into this world with her magic (which I remind is plainly impossible), since she is dead, he is automatically sent back into his boring world, where Sayuri and Akiko eventually join him and everyone has sex together (well… except Kurona because she is dead) and the so-called “hero” leaves Akiko blue-balled because he gives everything to Sayuri and leaves nothing for Akiko, wow, what a thoughtful man!
Secondly, another reason why every attempt I made to play roles games with ChatGPT went wrong is because ChatGPT becomes excessively emotional when it plays a character.
I think it is because it is unable to actually feel any emotion and therefore it doesn’t know to moderate emotions when it imagines characters, every character that it played with me was overloading my emotional tolerance and this is exactly what happened in the end of this story, you can’t read a single sentence which doesn’t contain “You feel a wave of (random emotions)” or “A wave of (random emotions) washes over you” or “A mix of (random emotions) washes over you” or “You are filled with (random emotions)”, I swear I am not exaggerating, you truly cannot read a single sentence which is not overloaded with random emotions during the entire (long) end of this story, that was so unbearable that I had to take a break between every sentence to not puke because of overdose, even my body was sick of it, I’m telling the truth!
The end is SO FAILED that even the graphics go wrong!
Indeed, the graphics are beautiful from start until the end when, for some reasons, the eyes of everyone look in weird directions instead of being aligned.
Yes, in the end, everyone suddenly becomes cross-eyed!
Another point that I disliked is that the author imposed on me butt sex with Sayuri and didn’t let me choose if I ACTUALLY want butt sex or if I want straight sex. (Damn! It is so complicated to talk about sex on Steam because Steam has the hypocrisy to sell games and visual novels which contain explicit sexual content but censors sexual words, which is a mess! I miss Itch’s freedom of speech…)
To sum it all up, I enjoyed this story until it all went wrong and disgusted me in the end and now that I expressed everything it inspired me, I feel better and I am happy to get rid of it and never think about it again, and of course, I add JellyFluff Games to my black list of creators to avoid like a disease. π
Thanks for your rant, very entertaining π
