About Finding Color in the Ashes

Finding Color in the Ashes is a fantasy dating sim where you rebuild an inn and hang out with a witch named Lucy.
It’s a mostly cozy management game where you slowly rebuild a ruined inn, choosing how you spend you time. The day is divided up into mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights – and weekends have their own events as well.
You also need to keep the surrounding area clear of monsters, equipping yourself with weapons and spells and engaging in turn based dice-combat. There are a variety of weapons, armors, and spells to buy, learn, and upgrade.

  • Companion Hangouts. You can now spend your afternoon time slot to hang out with a companion.
  • Hangouts have 5 different locations: the Hot springs, the Tavern, the Tower, the Roof, and the Meadows.
  • Every companion now tracks mood, the same as Lucy.
  • Every companion now tracks dispositions, which can be built up during hangouts and other activities.
  • New interactive sex scene (Scout)

Adjustments

  • Polearm weapons: Now also give +1 companion AP per turn
  • Back end optimization of events
  • Lucy (and other companions) mood will normalize more gradually
  • Some afternoon actions (chopping wood, cleaning the inn, gathering food) are now in an Inn Upkeep submenu
  • Evening hangouts, you can interact with each companion once each night
  • Evening hangouts, different actions will improve companion dispositions

Fixes

  • Soft lock if you completed the dungeons out of order.
  • Crash when cancelling high stamina attacks
  • UI error in Hangouts when Lucy is fractured
  • UI Error with heart tree progress bars
  • Clearing event options 1 and 3 could cause soft locks.
