Elvensang
About Elvensang
Elvensang is a story about a young elf raised alone by his mother in a human world that regards elves with scorn and hostility. The setting is inspired by the early medieval period with low fantasy elements. It is a ruthless, everchanging place that constantly puts one’s morality to the test, and it will be up to you to decide whether the story plays out as a tender romantic drama or a descent into the depths of malice and depravity.

I had a little trouble getting into this VN at first but it got better as it went along. Mostly story driven with very few adult scenes so far but that does not necessarily mean a bad start. Interesting story and I look forward to seeing it develop further.
This is my favorite visual novel on this site. Been following it for a couple of years now. Sadly progress on it has been very slow, but not non-existent.
Although the themes in this story are certainly mature and at times very heavy, it offers very little in terms of actual adult content. If that’s a turn off, then this VN is not for you.
The premise of the story and its setting is quite simple, but engrossed in great detail. The story build-up is slow, but deliberate and very nuanced. Even the original artwork shines with care and dedication. Heh, but I suppose obviously so, my opinion has been somewhat colored by rose-tinted glasses as I’m a fan of this work.
Honestly I was just way too emotionally invested in this story from the moment I first loaded up the game and that brilliantly understated OST started playing, setting up a most somber tone for the story to come. From then on I ended up just appreciating the excellent writing and storytelling more and more.
This work had been largely overlooked so far, but I really hope it gets more eyes on it. Hopefully my messed up meandering doesn’t end up scaring away the few, who accidently turns up not knowing what to expect.😅
Really enjoyed the writing in this. It very much felt like novel-quality writing but it has great visuals and music as well. There seems to be a few possible love interests and ways to behave. Good, bad or neutral/indifferent.
For those seeking more adult content you might be disappointed. Up to chapter 5 seems to be setting those up and the story. 9/10 so far for me as the writing alone carries this one.
