You REALLY need to rework the tutorial fight scenes. ALL of the fight scenes actually. I got to the part with the cursed place and the 2 big demon dudes with that one little asshole scout… and I cannot win because you let the big guys take HALF my freaking HP bar in one hit. Really?

Also, it’s a HAREM game. It’s in your tags. You want it to be a harem – do not have the main character lose. Ever. Not that easily. Do not have him seem like he’s useless at everything; it doesn’t make your female characters any more accomplished to insult him. DO NOT go with masturbatory scenes because the “First/Best” girl (who is arguably not btw) manages to not be ready. He’s GOING TO DIE. By the lore in your canon story that the player has NO INPUT about. I did not get to choose my character type. Class, ability or personality. I’m just a random scout BECAUSE… It’s insulting. To males as a gender, and to everything else in general. He could have been a spell sword. He could have been a knight in training. He could have been a tactician who was known to employ unusual but effective tactics. He could have just been unerringly able to strike enemy weakpoints because of an heirloom medallion if he was half blooded (He doesn’t have to be just human)

Why in the hell did you try to make an RPG based game, without any of the actual RPG mechanics – that work. You do not need to make the enemy AI gang up on anyone in the group. Ever. I don’t care if you want “intelligent” bruisers, the computer WILL let itself cheat with that kind of programming. The point of these games is that the HERO wins. I don’t give a flying rat’s arse if you want to make the tone of the story grim dark. Make him a bloodknight that can rip back their blood to heal his wounds and it would be the same thing. Make him a dodge tank ninja who has a decent to exceptional chance to avoid hits, or an half ogre whose favorite spell is stone skin. I don’t care how you finangle it, but the main character does NOT get to lose in the freaking prologue. That just sends the wrong message to your audience about what level of investment they should be making.

Second; if he somehow miraculously is meant to have a second chance from the fact that in plot from the very start you screwed him – only to go back X months and continually screw him harder, and then do so mechanically on top – most people will check out before they ever get to HOW he earns that second chance. Also, what the hell is the point of even mentioning the princess? Or Kiara, as the scout wife? It’s fine if either is eventually going to join the harem and be a full one, because that’s a nod to the fact if you put the work in, you can have everyone. Which frankly SHOULD be the end result. The princess, the queen, whatever else you have got. The only stat that should definably matter is: Yes, I want to fuck this girl, or No. I do not. Yes, I want to make babies with her, marry her even by non-standard means, or no. I do not want marriage ties and family legacy.

I’m not saying this game has no potential. It would not frustrate the ever living hell out of me enough to write all this if I thought it was bad story or bad art. A little too heavy on the Grim Dark, of course. A little too willing to tie the MC by the ankles to an anchor and throw him overboard – while apparently seeming like there’s several women interested in him… uh huh. I get it. Balancing combat can be hard. You don’t have to have the guys at the beginning have anything more than maybe 3 hits of special ability OR group strikes can reliably take out. Even if it’s a Boss. Especially if it’s a Boss. Otherwise, you have to give the characters that aren’t canonically supposed to die, means to not do so. It doesn’t matter how much hard work you put into the rest of it, if you fumble by putting a mechanics bar too high to jump over.

Please work on this. I would actually like to see where you can take it. Right now, the mechanics are mind-bogglingly frustrating, and a skip chapter option doesn’t really fix the issue if it’s recommended not to, when it’s your first time playing.
