I’ll assume there’s more coming to this game than is currently there. At first the morality choice felt like a novel concept. I figured at the very least there could be enough there for 1-2 playthroughs, one being “Good” and the other being “Evil”. But honestly, I don’t really see there being much there beyond giving you more options perhaps. For instance, why would a brand new guy suddenly go all in to buy a girl he met for 5 minutes $250 chocolate only to turn her down to fool around. MC just sounds like an asshole regardless of morality alignment.
Gameplay is sub par, very few choices available. Karma doesn’t really make sense, basically do you want the lewd scene or not. Frankly the models could be better… hard to find a lot of attraction there. No offense just my opinion there.
This isn’t really a game, more like a comic. You don’t really get to do much and spending 98% of your time just clicking to make the text progress.

I hate to say this because I really loved what they had of DoM so far and was really looking forward to whitleaf finishing it, but they’ve been pulling some really shady crap. Constantly starting new games without finishing old ones, not pausing subscriptions for people who were paying continuously with no updates, and even getting their page taken down on patreon for continued abuses of people’s wallets. I really enjoy the content of their games, but not sure if I trust them enough to subscribe again as they continue working.
Suffice it to say, I think this game needs to be tagged, officially, with “abandoned.” The whiteleaf studios website doesn’t even have a remnant of it on their official page, and they are using the same character models from DoM in a new game called “Family Breeding.” Don’t know anything about it yet, but I think its safe to say DoM won’t be getting another update.
how can this game be (ongoing) , next update was due march 25th per whiteleaf ; yet it is now mid july , what happen to the update ??? ; he is working on another game now with no mention of dawn of malice updates any more ; has the game been abandoned ; if not – then its status should be (on hold) not (ongoing) 😐
