“Each with their own goals, secrets, and potential relationships.”  Will you flirt, investigate, betray, or protect? It’s up to you. Every path leads to different consequences, and no two playthroughs will be the same. Back to the College is a choice-based visual novel where every decision shapes your story…

I’m going to tell you right now Dev: The ONLY “Potential Relationship” I will care that ANY girl in this game has is: WITH. THE. MC. Period! (I do not care who else they might “be with” before the start of the game – for no good reason, which they should also be broken up with by the time MC wants to pursue them)

If you make me go through all of whatever bullshit you’re going to cook up – JUST to render eventual NTR scenes or force me to pick ONE girl = I will be pissed.

You have no included Pregnancy or Harem into the tags > but claim the “Choice is Up To You of where you go, with who.” In your own overview, explicitly as shown above. DO NOT WRITE THIS if you’re not also willing to allow in game, that some players WILL absolutely want the Harem Ending. With pregnancy, for all possible/chosen LI’s. It DOES count as over ambitious, to outright false advertising.

I will likely give this a shot eventually. I will not give it more than two chances, if there is no confirmation of the paths I want to work toward being either already planned and implemented in game, or to be eventually added. Especially if there’s going to be potential NTR. (Which by the way – if Player chooses NOT to engage with a specific girl; does not count as NTR in that case. Since they would never have factually BEEN in a relationship and she would in that case never be counted for a “love interest.” I will clarify that IF there are scenes where MC finds out after rejecting X girl that she’s fucking someone else > even shown doing it, to a creampie/pregnancy – I won’t care in that case. It will be unncessary and a little passive aggressive on your part, to render such, specifically because it’s not actual NTR. I might just get a laugh out of you pulling that, like it’s some sick burn somehow)

Having played part of the game (some of the rendering is absolutely uncanny valley – and the premise is very flawed in a certain respect I’ll come to) I’d make one big suggestion, and one smaller one. For player reassurance and ease of access.

= First – no matter how many characters or how you finangle doing it, make it clear that there will or at least CAN be a harem. WITHOUT CONSEQUENCES. The game DOES NOT NEED THEM! [you will just make the player gunshy about every single goddamned choice; and make them LESS likely to want to see the end of the damned game]

= The bigger issue: The Angel/Demon Counter – you aren’t clear enough about what exactly that means; and MOST people aren’t going to want to end up in HELL – but going angel is the same bullshit of losing the LEWD scenes. In at least one case so far. There are also far less ANGEL points I’ve encountered than there are Devil (I wasn’t going to refuse fucking or cumming inside the damned doctor Dev, and you’re an ass for presenting that as a Devil Choice in the first place – you give the player time to adapt to the new situation and make LESSER choices that can lead to greater impacts in chosen path. Not right off the bat it looks like you’re absolutely SCREWED when you invariably end up back at that bloody dumbassed COURT!)

= You put him back on earth. The next time he gets to Limbo, FUCK THE COURT. Fuck the consquences – or better yet FUCK BOTH of those bitches who tried to screw you over either way you look at it! The POINT of the “second life” genre bullshit is that it’s SUPPOSED to be markedly better than it was the fist time around. (And I don’t know why you gave him a named secretary or introduced a FEMALE assassin; if they were going to be yeeted out of the story to be met again, more awkwardly, later. They are UNNECESSARY in the first place, and COMPLICATIONS to the new live in the second)

= Here’s the thing: It doesn’t matter what you CAN do or how you’ll handle X thing, IF every thing you CAN do, or way you MIGHT handle X situation WILL screw the player out of SOMETHING. * Emma broke up with MC because he was “too possessive” but wants him back > then she doesn’t need to be in the game; or she can just accept this time he’s GOING to not want her to fuck anyone else – but HE gets to build the harem! * Lara insinuating to anyone with a brain cell functioning (way too obviously not to get caught by all of her flatmates instantly) that she “cares” about MC in a sexual relationship BECAUSE he’s the sort of strong-arming creep that has photo/video evidence of her she doesn’t want leaked. And don’t get me start on the blue haired Harley Quinn; she’s going to either be the most fun, or the most trouble and probably both at the same time.

= Point being, you ARE building the blocks of a Harem – but because of the way you’ve presented the game; the fact it’s not clearly TAGGED and there’s nowhere that you’ve gone out of your way in dialogue (even in brackets like so…) that the player WILL NOT be screwed over for trying to build the sort of relationship they might want, I DO NOT trust you to handle any relationship I go for that ISN’T Emma and the Angel well at all. Not in the longrun, because I expect you to send him back to that dumb fucking court, to pull the rug out from under MC – and probably when the player was just starting to have a bit of fun with what they can do in game. (He’s a LAWYER – you should know if you’re going to attempt to write one; it’s not about what you CAN do. Anyone can do a hell of a lot of not legal things, at any time they WANT to. It IS very much about what you can actually GET AWAY with…) The way you’ve set up the game, the player knows they’re on a short leash from the very start, and they’re not going to want you to screw up their lives again. Or they’ll accept it at base and not give a flying fuck about your story telling in general, because they know you’re going to fuck them over to get back to that courtroom, the first chance it makes any sense. Neither of those is a good option.

= TL;DR – First, remove the fucking counter. Or be clear in what the hell each side and every point actually means. (One of the choices in game at some point somewhere when things start gettting sexual with everyone – to deepened impact – should be CLEARLY: DO I WANT A HAREM?) It is and CAN be that simple. Then you have your answer from the player, and you can work towards building it. Down EITHER the light or dark paths.

Second: Stop trying to screw the player over, and make it seem like there’s GOING to be a game over no matter what the hell you choose. Because at this point, Hell clearly wins, and it SHOULDN’T. There need to be CLEAR benefits on both paths (like for Angel – the Harem is based on Genuine love and repect, and wanting to be together forever; which CAN happen. On the Devil side; it’s a BDSM theme with Lucy helping MC become their ultimate Daddy Dom – with plenty of Babies ever after, and perhaps a hint that he might actually with her help take over and RULE hell one day. Whatever floats your boat as a Dev – but they should BOTH be REWARDING)

      > Yes, by the way, it is kind of ironic that even my TL;DR section is still TL;DR. Mea Culpa.
