Soulcreek

I’m not sure where to begin with this one! Suffice to say this build had a very difficult birth. There were multiple re-writes of scenes, a very challenging editing process and plenty of difficult compromises to make on my part to get this done – but it’s here now!

This marks the end of writing the story for Soulcreek. Any future updates for this VN will just be bugs and editing sweeps for those who discover it in the future. I can only thank you all for being here for this whole process and helping me see it through. It ended up being a massive part of my life! I think I can live happily knowing I’ve made some kind of mark on the world now!

Here’s what’s new:

-Day 13 and an epilogue added – about 20k words. The total length of the VN is now 325k words.

-Lots of new CGs by Elle and a background from Sidmon.

-Plenty of new audio work. Some ambience tracks have been edited to work better with headphones, such as the Draconi village ambience.

-A new track for the Soulcreek OST, ‘Epiklesis’. You can listen to it in its entirety in the music room from the main menu.

-Ortho is busy giving the previous days a check-up for typos, and has caught about 200 so far in from days 1 to 11!

I’d rather just let the end of this story speak for itself, so I won’t say anymore for now! I know a lot of people are keen to know if I’m planning to do any more visual novel work – I’ll give it some thought and share what I can soon! As much as I’ve enjoyed it, making this thing has been a massive time and money sink, so committing to another from scratch would be a huge decision!

And with that, this otter needs to hibernate for a while!
