One word – invalidates the ENTIRE fucking introductory premise.
You DO NOT need a “wife” who was aware of MC’s tendencies = who “kicks him out.” And will probably STILL be one of the “love interests” because you as the DEV want to be a dick to your own main character. Or you somehow believe that’s “earning” the harem…
Come on man. If he has no wife; and the “best” friend he’s not seen in X billion and a half years (so how much of a “best” friend was she really, Dev?) DOESN’T have Kids with some dipshit that left her already – JUST to add more girls to the game – THEN maybe you have a premise for building a goddamned Harem game. He CAN start single, and willing to find someone. He DOESN’T have to start screwed over. Or with a bullshit “friend” premise that ends up having them estranged for basically an ETERNITY. (Frankly the “friend” being willing to let MC couch surf for indefinitely marks the fact they WEREN’T JUST FRIENDS! Which would at least be a good reason for the wife he didn’t need to be pissed off to start with…)
That’s been done too many damned times, and it NEVER makes any more sense than it did the first. Frankly I may give this a shot at some point; but now I expect the same forced drama/blaming the MC for actually WANTING the females, and being physically abusive because “Muh Female Empowerment” crap as always. Because all of you asshats that make them, also HATE Harems. >.< Which is my long winded way of saying, I don’t see what’s “So Much To Love” here. I just see more of the same damned thing as always.
So Much To Love is a reworked version of Such a Sharp Pain. If you really want to see how bad the mental and emotional abuse is, go check it out.
Such a Sharp Pain is a game that never effectively establishes a harem at any point. It’s a harem in so much of the sense that the male main character will get to have sex with every female character if you choose for that to happen, but in my opinion that alone does not make it a harem.
SMTL being a reworked version of SSP, makes me think that SMTL is also not going to have true harem content in it either.
You can very easily learn how SMTL’s story is the way it is based on how it goes in SSP.
Without spoiling exact specifics of who, how and why, here’s how the introduction section goes:
The MC gets caught having sex with another woman by his wife, and then his wife kicks him out the house. He goes and lives with his “friend”. But he does still have a wife, getting kicked out of the house doesn’t instantly make them divorced, and yes she is a reocurring character, she comes back into the story later and is not only aware of everything that has been happening but becomes more involved in it. A bunch of other stuff happens throughout the story with various other “friends” and other people, and eventually the MC does in a weird and roundabout way get to have a harem, but I certainly don’t count it as such. It is easier to understand why the MC and this “friend” were seperated for so long, and what now drives the MC to come crawling back to her again, as well as everything else that happens in So Much To Love if you first play Such a Sharp Pain.
In my opinion, it’s awful shit, the MC clearly has no backbone or is likely suffering some kind of stockholm syndrome from all the shit he went through in his childhood. Even though he probably knows the better option should be to leave those people and never come back, he instead does the opposite. But, whatever, it’s some sick twisted fantasy the writer/dev made up with entirely fictional people. As much as I would love for the story to go in a different direction or maybe even be completely redone so it’s just much less fucked up from the start, that’s not up to me.

Judging from their Patreon, they trained an AI on Ketzal’s work and didn’t credit them. How else can you make multiple games at the same time and never go into detail how this design came to be. This is theft and should be immedietly removed from the site. They should apologize and the original artists should be compensated.

He released a shitty game with only two female characters, the sister and the daughter, unlike that beautiful game (which he developed) called “Such a Sharp Pain,” which had many female characters and many lolis. Bastard developer, instead of releasing this shitty game “So Much To Love,” update “Such a Sharp Pain” instead.
Son of a bitch, when you start a game you have to complete it, and instead you left it hanging without a conclusion. If I had you in front of me, I would beat you badly. BASTARD!!!
This is a direct copy of Such a Sharp Pain by Ketzal. Ketzal had a SubStar page that went down but that is nothing new lately. They also did not have a Patreon nor discord that I can find. Any google search for their name will send you to a redit post saying the same things. I hope all is well and this is just a faithful recreation of an abandoned IP.
