Hero Party Must Fall

Review: This game, damn, I’ll be frank it is among the most pretty pixel games I’ve tried, reminding me a lot of NTR Legend but frankly, better.

Characters are varied and very fleshed out, they feel real and interesting each in their own way. Each one has their own thing that makes them stand out, visually and in their writing, it is difficult to get bored with any of them unless you personally don’t like their type.

Quality is, ILLEGAL. The pixel art it’s the smoothest, prettiest type I’ve seen in a long time. as an artist myself and having experimented with pixel art this is of the highest quality.

The protagonist is not actually bad, he is clearly more of a jerk and slightly morally dark fella. But he doesn’t abuse the heroines or torture them, so he is actually likeable because while he is both agressive and crass, he is also beliveable.

That’s something you can say about really all characters. They feel real and are engaging because of that.

In the sex department there is plenty, everything great and half of it even interactive.

Honorable mention, Music. It is great, the dev should put an option in the menu to see the artist, mainly because I want those musics really badly and I’m sure I’m not alone.

That said, there are some problems.

The game started great, being the perfect mixture betwen player input and visual novel. However as updates game the diaologue became larger, more prominent and while still engaging, at one point the game seems to have become a straight visual novels with little to no choices.

That is also something it lacks, if you are expecting a game where your choices change the outcome of the heroines, don’t. Saddly the game is not your story, it is Mars. You are just sitting next to him and having an imaginary control over him.

Wich is a shame. I really loved the game up to a certain point, easily going up in my list of games I keep checking for updates. But eventually it seems to have turned into a common Visual Novel, wich I personally don’t enjoy.

At the time of writting (Version 0.4.1) The bugs are, unberable. It may have something with the downloading sites, It has to be, otherwise the game could be unpleyable for some. Either way I seem to always find an error, or fault that forces me to reload.

to the Dev: If they ever read this, the game is amazing, great potential, outstanding writting, endearing characters and interactions, memorable sauce and nutty visual that no matter what will always stick to my mind. However the shift into a more narrative story, while being the taste of many, does a disservice to the potential of this game to trully stand out. As well as the lack of meaningfull choices and the passanger seat style of game it is. With a few tweaks it could trully stand out as a prodigy among the games of this type, but at the moment there is so much more that could be done with this game.

However, the game delivers, it is beautifull and even if it becomes something I no longer enjoy and leave behind, the impression you have made has been enough to warrant a permanent space in my memory and I wish you success so that you may bring us more games with this quality of writing.
