Since it's an OpenGL game, try adding the game exe to a new profile and then turning OFF "Threaded Optimization" for a performance boost, at least on Nvidia GPUs. Dunno about AMD.

Transfaze, Anonzip and Fileknot are fine for games below 50mb, but anything over that and the throttled download speeds, often resulting in downloads taking several hours, and often stopping completely
