It’s not the full game but the demo calling it a public release is false. I have played some of the full game when i was subscribed to their patreon.
Public release refers to “publicly released by the author” meaning there official demo 👍

Html games can be played in browser even on android devices, open the games html in chrome or download joiplay and open it in that
I’m on Android and can’t run anything after extraction
For those trying to play it on joiplay with no luck, here’s the files you need Path:/Phone/Download/DryadQuest-windows-0_13_0-public/dryad_quest-win32-x64/resources/app/dist/index.html
The .exe for the game is built in such a way that it can’t run on joiplay however the html file included in the download allows you to run it in a browser or joiplay.
